Fix-it team visiting

Our big jobs team wants to know what’s working and what could be done better.

Project leader Martin says the team wants to see what tenants want when homes in ŌCHT communities are improved.

Our planned maintenance team is visiting communities whose homes are due for upgrades as part of our long term maintenance programme.

They’ve already met with tenants at Pickering Courts and they’ll visit even more communities once a fortnight over the rest of the year.

Project leader Martin says the team visits will help the planning team gain a better understanding of what works and what could be improved.

“We will use what we learn to build a better picture of what we need to do in the planned upgrade across the whole site.”

We send text messages to let communities know when our team’s due to visit – and it worked a treat when the team visited Pickering Courts.

Several residents were waiting for them to arrive, and they provided valuable feedback about what they’d like improved in their community.

Martin said short-term repairs and maintenance jobs were identified and will be actioned as-soon-as.

Tenants also learned more about how ŌCHT manages the upgrade process and what tenants can expect when upgrades start.

Pickering Courts’ upgrade work is expected to start during the 2022/23 financial year.

  • The ŌCHT team will contact tenants at communities that are due upgrades in the next five financial years progressively over the rest of the year.

  • Other communities not on the first five year plan will be visited after them.

  • The visits will help the team plan significant upgrades at the communities.

  • Please contact us on 0800 624 456 to let us know about any urgent or niggling repairs that are needed in your ŌCHT community.
