New homes on the way
New homes for more than 70 people are rapidly closing in on completion.
Gowerton Place, Richmond
Exterior painting is all-but completed and landscaping has started at Gowerton Place, ŌCHT’s new, 37-home community in Richmond.
Inside, most kitchens and bathrooms have been installed, and carpet and vinyl line all homes.
Interior walls have been painted, save for a few touchups and final passes.
Outside, paths have or are being laid and gardens are being shaped. Plants sit waiting in the shade for their new home.
Garden sheds are being built and installed while the private courtyards are being formed and fenced.
The homes all face the large communal space that’ll eventually have green space, parking and even a pergola.
Some also face red zoned land, adding more green, open spaces to the community vista.
The development is made up of 34 one-bedroom units, and one each of 2-bed, 3-bed and 4-bed units.
They’re built as six two-storey blocks.
The homes are designed to achieve at least a New Zealand Green Building Council Homestar 6 rating.
We hope to officially open the homes in December.
Coles Place, St Albans
Meanwhile at Coles Place, interior and exterior work on 33 new homes continues at pace.
The buildings are roofed and cladded but there’s scaffolding just about everywhere as exterior work continues.
The interiors are at various stages of completion. Some are gibbed and swarming with sparkies, others are still insulated framing.
The development is shaped around a central space that’ll have plenty of greenery and parking.
Coles Place is set to welcome its first tenants in the first half of the new year.
