Skinny Jump limited offer

Our service is taking a break. We look forward to bringing it to you later in the year.

We’re supporting digital journeys with Skinny Jump. Here’s what we’re doing.

It’s a limited offer

  • We have a strictly limited number of Skinny Jump 210GB-a-month packages for qualifying community housing tenants to use for free for two years.

  • They’re for community housing tenants who do not have the internet at home but have a device they can use and an email address.

  • There will also need to be Skinny Jump cell phone tower capacity and coverage in your area.

  • Qualifying community housing tenants must attend a short workshop to sign up.

  • The packages are available in strictly limited batches each month over 10 months.

Supported by Christchurch fibre company Enable, we’ve teamed up with Skinny Jump to offer two-years free wireless internet to digitally excluded community housing tenants.

What you need to know about the Skinny Jump offer

  • We have a strictly limited number of connections and cannot provide more once they are allocated so it’s really important you contact ŌCHT if you think you might qualify. To register your interest:

    • Call 0800 624 456, Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5pm and follow the prompts, or

    • Email admin@ocht.org.nz: include your name, address and phone number and put “Skinny Jump” in the subject line.

    • Our digital coach will return your call or email as soon as possible.

    • We’ll discuss your connectivity and digital training needs.

    • We’ll check if Skinny Jump is available in your area.

    • If it is and you’re eligible, you will be booked into a sign-up workshop to get connected.

    • If Skinny Jump isn’t available in your area right now, we’ll put you on a waiting list.

    • We’ll link you up to free digital coaching if you need help using digital devices.

  • We’re prioritising tenants who don’t have internet at home. We’ll add you to a waiting list but it’s not likely we’ll have enough connections to move you to the sponsored plan.

  • You can read more about Skinny Jump on the Skinny Jump website.

  • We know people who don’t have an internet connection at home miss out on easier access to many of the tools that support success in everyday life.

We also know the web is a great place for people to access the services and connections that can make it even easier to enjoy a sustainable tenancy.

Many ŌCHT tenants already have the internet at home, using it to do everything from accessing social agencies and banking, to looking for work and keeping in touch with family and friends.

Others don’t, often due to cost or not having the confidence to get and start using an internet connection.

ŌCHT is a landlord that’s committed to promoting sustainable tenancies, so we want to help digitally excluded tenants access what others in our community enjoy.

We hope to help as many people as we can to have the means and the confidence to better access an online world that might help in their daily lives.
