Driver licences focus of Work Ready Meetup
Now’s a great time to turbocharge your job hunt with a new drivers licence.
There’s good demand for people in the transport and warehousing industries - and it’ll grow with the local economy.
Nationally, the driving and warehouse sector had the highest percentage job growth in the year to March.
And the more we need to transport goods and services, the more that demand will grow.
ŌCHT employment coach Lyn says many ŌCHT tenants are keen to get into driving and warehousing.
She often helps people line up private drivers licence training, heavy licence training and and training to use fork lifts.
“So this month, our regular Work Ready Meetup will focus on drivers licences,” Lyn says.
“We’ll learn heaps more about what to do to get a licence, where to get support, and even what funding might be available to help.
“The session is open to any ŌCHT tenant who wants to get work ready - and it’s absolutely free.
