In the frame at Willard Street

Work is progressing quickly on 35 new homes in Spreydon.

Construction of the new community on Willard Street is going well, with the foundations reaching their highest point and external work getting underway.

Groundworks will commence in the next two weeks.

The new community will comprise 18 one-bed homes, seven two-bed homes, nine three-bed homes and one five-bed home. Five are accessible, and others can be converted with demand.

They are designed with the environment and sustainability in mind. They’ll be built with low maintenance, durable materials and will be well-insulated and thermally efficient.

The north-facing community will be set in landscaped grounds with shared common spaces and safe areas to play, to complement tenant’s private courtyards and balconies.

The homes are designed by South by South East Architects and will be delivered by Consortium Construction. The Christchurch-based companies have worked with ŌCHT on similar projects.

It is anticipated the homes will be ready for tenants in September 2023.
